Rice porridge with NIIDA-saffron For 4 portions Ingredients: 1 litre whole milk 2 dl single cream 160g pudding rice 50g sugar 1 vanilla pod 1 vanillestok Method: 1- Remove surface starch by rinsing the raw grains in a fine-mesh strainer under cold running water before cooking. 2- Drain the excess water 3- Boil the milk with the vanilla pod and the extracted vanilla bean. Add the rice and the saffron threads 4- Don't forget to stir very regularly 5- Simmer for 30 minutes, adding the cream at the end 6- Add the sugar 5 minutes before serving 7- Let the rice porridge cool down and remove the vanilla pod 8- Serve with brown sugar and finish with some saffron threads NIIDA-saffraan threads.
